Well as any Mama can tell you, motherhood is hard. That’s kind of a no brainer these days, right? There are so many things to get done in one day for yourself, let alone having to take care of one, or like me, two kiddos who pretty much depend on you for everything. I can’t even imagine if I had more than two kids!
Each morning when I wake up I try to take a tiny amount of time, I’m talking like 5-10 minutes, and prepare. Prepare my mind for the day ahead me. I look over my schedule, make sure I know what’s going on that day, and I try to pencil in time for showers, grocery store runs, alone time, etc. It can be so stressful to try to successfully run a household once you have kiddos. It’s not nearly as simple as I see on Pinterest with all the perfect little scheduling printouts and all that fancy-shmancy stuff.
The days are full of so much stress sometimes but also so much happiness! I couldn’t imagine any other life. I love being able to bring my all every single day as a work-from-home-mom, wife, volunteer. There are so many people relying on me and that alone can cause stress! Our weeks are full of church, family visits, school for two kiddos, group meetings, swim lessons, gymnastics lessons, play dates, baths, grocery trips, time to date my husband, and every other thing you could imagine. Even though my days are full of stress and business there is absolutely no where else I’d rather be.
I wanted to share a couple things that I do to help me be able to relax when I need some help on the super busy days, so here we go!
Take time to enjoy your favorite drink whether that’s coffee, tea, soda
Call a mom friend
Allow yourself to have a messy house
Go for a drive
Get a babysitter
