I have been wanting for awhile now to take a social media break. I know Instagram and Facebook takes up too much of my day and attention away from my family but wasn’t able to make the commitment yet because of already scheduled projects and all. Yesterday’s apocalypse was a blessing in disguise.
This year I am all about being intentional. Being intentional with our morning routine and what I include to do, use, eat, and wear is all part of that. As many of you know, being a Mama of toddlers is no small task, especially when it comes to the everyday mornings with two wake up calls, two breakfasts, two outfit changes and potty breaks, two school drop-offs, two pick-ups, lunches, naps, baths, and all the other things…there’s no time for much else, amiright!?
Have you seen those self stick wallpapers that are super popular right now? Me too, everywhere! I have been wanting so badly to create a space that is just for me in our house, somewhere not overrun with kid stuff and love those wallpapers but they’re a lot of work to get up and sort of pricey ($400!?). We have had our 4th bedroom upstairs packed full of stuff that needed
I always thought that in order to be happy I had to look a certain way or make a certain amount of money or drive a certain car or be at a certain status quo, whatever that was at the time in regards to what I was going through. It’s been a long time coming with lots of soul searching,
Oh cancer, you suck. I don’t think truer words could be spoken about cancer. I wanted to share a post today that is about something close to me heart. Did you know that February 4th was World Cancer Day and that all of February is National Cancer Prevention Month?
Ahh yes, winter is definitely here in Indiana and the Midwest. I for one am not a fan of most things winter-related. I don’t like wearing coats, lots of layers, I am a sandals person and can’t stand wearing boots, all the time it takes to get my kiddos ready to simply walk outside, feeling stuck inside all the time, not to mention the SNOW that we get around here that turns into ice. I mean…all that sounds glorious, right? Wrong.
Can we all do a little happy dance right now please? Valentine’s Day is almost heeeeere! I love this day so much and want to pass on my love for it to my babies. Each year we do something special with our hearts for the people in our lives that mean something to us.
I was asked recently why I never share photos of the kiddos in their rooms and I DO actually it just might not be obvious. I’ve been asked to share the boy’s room ever since I mentioned it’s the most minimalist in our house so here we go!
I have a love/hate relationship with the thought of being intentional with everything I do. I am still learning and sometimes I just want a quick way to do something without having to research it but then I end up using things I never wanted to use. I’m talking about products with fragrance in them or even some medications that are over-the-counter that I just now am learning have other options.
Let me start off by saying that I am in no way an expert on intentional living and will never claim to be one! Everything I’m listing in this post I am doing right now too so you’re not alone. I heard about “intentional living” last year and have been wanting to feel that nudge telling me to do it. I’ll admit that I have been so laid back with how I approach life, raising kids
