Y’all, I used to say that I would never match my kids. I’m talking literally match every single thing, and I don’t! I have recently found some super sweet outfits from brands I love that I wanted to share that coordinate and in my opinion, are just meant to go together. I posted a photo and had so many questions about where I found my outfit and the kiddos’ outfits and about sizing and what I’m into this season so I figured I’d share! I’m totally feeling the summer and vacation vibes with these so here we go…

Our First Family Photos In Years!

Who here for some unknown reason does the same thing I did and NOT get any family photos for years?  Years?!  Yeah, I’m totally guilty of slacking which is strange since I literally take photos every single day, take photos on the side of clients, and just adore capturing our lives.  One of the big reasons I haven’t wanted family photos is because I’m not secure with the way I look but I’ve had enough of that.

Putting Motherhood First + Slowing Down

Sometimes it's so hard to slow the heck down and take time out for you.  Whether that means you and your babies or you as a person being alone, you need time, we all do!  I know that Brody is our last little one so I've started to have a love/hate relationship with all the new things he's been doing.  I love that he is becoming so independent and expressive but I also hate knowing that all of his firsts are now all of my lasts.  It really makes me want to cry sometimes, just, please time-slow down!

Fall is almost here!  I absolutely love everything Fall has to offer in the Midwest from the apple orchards and pumpkin patches to the obligatory family photo sessions, movies on the lawn, and oh-so-many festivals!  I wanted to share some perfect Fall/Winter clothing for toddlers that falls into the capsule wardrobe realm, which we all know I'm all about that of course.

I Have No Babies Left

I can't believe the day has come where both of my babies are out of the house during the week.  It started with Emily going to school (daycare) about a year ago and now Brody.  This past week Brody started going to a 9 am to 3 pm "Parent's Day Out" program.  He doesn't even cry when I drop him off and goes right to his teachers.  I remember Emily cried and cried, which hurt my heart, but Brody not crying hurts too!  Part of me wants him to be upset, is that bad?

Quality Time Is All They Want

Emily is at the age where she really likes to pretend play.  I just love seeing her imagination at work, it's seriously the sweetest thing.  I asked her if she wanted to have a tea party and of course she said yes.  I love allowing her to "learn by doing" and this was no different.  She chose what plates, bowls, cups, silverware, and what food to have our tea party with.  I told her it was supposed to be with pretend food but she had her own plans for that!

The Best Shoes For Foot Development!

Let's talk baby feet, shall we?  Baby feet aren't "ready to walk" on when they're born, we all know that.  Their little feet need to develop enough strength to actually walk.  Once they do begin taking those first amazing steps, it's recommended by pediatricians and podiatrists to have shoes made of natural materials that hold up well for learning walkers that are non-restrictive.

After School Picnic + Snack Ideas

We have made the decision to stop giving the kiddos so many super high carb and processed foods recently.  Emily's snacks used to be loads of crackers, pop-tarts, granola bars, etc.  I know it's a little bit more work to cut fruits and veggies, especially to have them not be eaten sometimes, but after a little bit of consistency I have faith Emily won't even know the difference.  I know this way of eating will help the babes' digestive systems too, huge bonus!
