What a freaking week I've had! Ugh, I couldn't wait and had to go through all my amazing photos from our beach vacation this past week and get them up on the blog!
In most of these photos, which yes-there are a LOT of photos, everyone is happy and giddy! Don't let this happiness fool you though, for all the ups we had there were definitely some downs. Traveling with a three year old and an eleven month old in one word: HARD. Luckily for us and everyone else on our flights we had super easy kiddos before ad during our flights. Wahoo!
On the flight there we packed way too much to take on the plane and learned our lesson. For the flight home we took way less and it was so much easier, so as the saying goes; Less is more. I'll have an entire post about flying with kiddos though, so keep an eye out for that!
Every day of our vacation we spent around water, I mean, duh-we're from Indiana and we don't have beaches! It took Emily a little bit to warm up to the beach and ocean but once she and Daddy started building sand castle, it was all over. She never wanted to leave, I can't blame her though. The beach is like a toddler's heaven. Brody loved, like looooooved the beach, too. He was just the biggest ham ever, playing and eating sand, experiencing the ocean, it was so so much fun watching him explore.
If we weren't at the beach, we were at the pool. We have gorgeous pools that were on our property and totally took advantage of them. Emily started out timid but ended up being so brave swimming by herself with her little floaties, jumping in all on her own and treading water. The hubs and I were so so impressed by her!
Other than being around some sort of water, we had lots and lots of cuddles, water-logged naps, grilled out dinners, and amazing memories. We stayed in Bonita Beach and loved every minute of it, besides the meltdowns, ha duh.
Of course, being me, the Target loving mama I am, we had to visit Target a couple times too!
One afternoon Emily and I went on a little Mommy-Daughter beach date. It was pretty magical!
Of course when you're in Bonita Beach, you go to Iguana Mia! Amazing Mexican food and the stuff is so amazing with the babes!
