Who loves to swim? Me too! I hate to admit it, but I don't even actually know how to swim. That's why it's so important for my own kiddos to learn to swim at a young age! We have the kiddos in swim lessons but when you're on vacation or in your own pool it can be difficult when there's two super active kids and two tired parents, haha. I still want Brody to be able to have fun and love the water, kick his little legs and all, even when we're not holding him. Bonus points too because he can just chill and relax if he wants as well!
Did you know that National Learn To Swim Day is May 19th?! Welp, it is! It's time to get your swim on and if you're like me, at least get into the pool and have fun! Here's a Teach Me To Swim site for you to check out too!... click here!
Something I love doing with our kiddos is taking them on a "Daycation". Scott and I get somethings packed up, head to a local hotel, and stay one night while getting to enjoy all the amenities. We sometimes will try to book our hotel on the other side of town so there are different restaurants, things to see and do, etc. Let's be honest, we all know that it doesn't take much to make toddlers happy, right? Time is all they really want so a little time away is so good for them and for us parents!
For this little Daycation we went to the Indianapolis Airport Suites and it was so fun, super clean, and the pool was clearly our favorite part! The kids loved that since we were able to go on a weeknight, the pool was all ours and goodness, they were worn out after swimming! That's my favorite part of Daycations!
Emily and Daddy worked on her going under water while Mr. Brody had me all to himself in his SwimWays Baby Spring Float Sun Canopy! Brody loved being able to kick back and enjoy his time in his Baby Spring Float Sun Canopy. It's roomy enough for his 22 month old little guy bod while still keeping him super safe and there were never any times when I felt like he was unsafe! As you can see, he was pretty much in heaven!
What I pack for our Daycations:
- Swim suits
- Next day clothes
BOOM, you're done! Every hotel has towels, soap, shampoo, breakfast, etc, so it's super simple to pack up and go quickly! With Scott being a Police Officer he has days off during the week a lot so sometimes we won't know we're planning a little getaway until the day of which leaves me no time to plan what to pack.
If you have a little one under two and you want to have the most relaxing swim with them, you NEED to check out SwimWays Baby Spring Float Sun Canopy, it'll change the way to swim with your little one!
