Kiddo Approved Coconut Water

How many times have you tried coconut water?  If you're like me then it's too many to count because no matter how it's flavored I can't stand the taste!  I'm not sure what it is about coconut water but even though I know it has so many nutritional benefits I still can't get behind it.  I see all kinds of people enjoying it and I feel like they must be faking it, haha.

Capsule Wardrobe: Toddler Fall Round Up

Fall is almost here!  I absolutely love everything Fall has to offer in the Midwest from the apple orchards and pumpkin patches to the obligatory family photo sessions, movies on the lawn, and oh-so-many festivals!  I wanted to share some perfect Fall/Winter clothing for toddlers that falls into the capsule wardrobe realm, which we all know I'm all about that of course.

A Simple Toddler Snack They'll Love

Fun fact: Did you know September is National Honey  Month?  That's right, an entire month dedicated to this natural yumminess that kiddos love.  Here in the Midwest it's starting to feel a lot like Fall which for me includes lots of chunky sweaters, boots, outdoor fun, cuddling, and lots of golden moments I want to remember forever.

I Have No Babies Left

I can't believe the day has come where both of my babies are out of the house during the week.  It started with Emily going to school (daycare) about a year ago and now Brody.  This past week Brody started going to a 9 am to 3 pm "Parent's Day Out" program.  He doesn't even cry when I drop him off and goes right to his teachers.  I remember Emily cried and cried, which hurt my heart, but Brody not crying hurts too!  Part of me wants him to be upset, is that bad?

Quality Time With A Three Year Old

This past year has been an interesting one for us.  Emily is three and a half now and basically runs the show.  She's so independent and strong willed.  She's got a huge imagination and a mind of her own, which I adore.  Sometimes she'll want to cuddle up and relax but most of the time she's non-stop, wanting to go go go.

After School Picnic + Snack Ideas

We have made the decision to stop giving the kiddos so many super high carb and processed foods recently.  Emily's snacks used to be loads of crackers, pop-tarts, granola bars, etc.  I know it's a little bit more work to cut fruits and veggies, especially to have them not be eaten sometimes, but after a little bit of consistency I have faith Emily won't even know the difference.  I know this way of eating will help the babes' digestive systems too, huge bonus!

Back To School: Toddler Edition

Okay, okay.  So I know Emily isn't really heading "back to school" like kiddos a little bit older than her, but who says we can't participate in some of the fun and, ahem, the sales!?  Right?  I remember when I was a kid and the most fun leading up to the first day of school was of course school clothes shopping.  It wasn't until I was probably around 13 years old and my parents started to tell me "no" to certain things that I didn't love it as much, HA!
