When I worked full-time outside of our home I used to long to be a stay at home Mama, always wanting to spend every single minute of the day with Emily. I was so envious of my friends who had the opportunity for that with their children! When Scott and I had about 5 months to go before Brody came along, I decided to leave my career of 8 years and do just that, stay at home. I'm going to write an entirely separate post on the whole stay at home Mama thing, but let's just say the grass might not always be greener on the other side!
The past couple days have been killing me as a Mama. I came down with something horrible and upsetting to my stomach that left me not even able to stand up to make Brody a bottle one night. Emily has been going all day and night without a pacifier for over a week now, yay!, but has been waking up about two hours earlier than usual. Brody wakes up when she wakes up now as well as at least once during the night. Last night in particular, Emily woke up at 11pm, which she never does, and was up in our bed until 1am until she wanted to go back to her bed. Today, we had no naps until about 5pm and it snowed so I felt like we couldn't go outside to burn off some energy. Ugh, I'm going to head to bed and hopefully sleep as well as Em is here!...
