10 Must Haves For Non-Stop Flights

I received compensation from Bayer Consumer Health, makers of MiraLAX® to write this post. MiraLAX® is a laxative used to treat occasional constipation. All opinions are entirely my own. #ReLAXOnTheGo #CollectiveBias

I recently was blessed to be able to fly to Texas with only my Mama and spend some time with my brother and sister-in-law!  My husband was SO giving and watched the kiddos on all of his days off so I was able to go and enjoy myself!  How selfless, right!

I've flown a ton of times and each time, if possible, I always choose a non-stop flight.  It just makes sense to me these days!  I wanted to share my top 10 things I always bring with me on the flights whether I’ve got kiddos or not, so here we go!

  1. Quality Neck Pillow
  2. Hand Sanitizer
  3. MiraLAX®
  4. Scarf
  5. Eye Drops
  6. Earphones
  7. Cell Phone Charger
  8. Reusable Water Bottle
  9. Backpack Carry-On
  10. Snacks

Let's talk neck pillows because they're not all equal, right?  I invested in a neck pillow made from memory foam and some kind of breathable mesh on the outside and let me tell you, it's a game changer.  My flight to Texas was on time however there was bad weather at our destination so my Mama and I were held ON THE PLANE without air conditioning for FOUR hours!  Four hours, you guys!  If I hadn't had my neck pillow I would've lost it.

Hand sanitizer is a must for me, ususally where ever I'm going.  Bathrooms in general are gross ( or at least I think they are ), and I can't even imagine what all the people that pass through an airport do and touch!  Let's just leave it at that!

Sometimes after a flight, if I’ve been nervous about it, my body shows it.  Let’s be real here and there are certain signs you can look out for that let you know what’s going on.  If you’re suffering from occasional constipation, MiraLAX® Mix-In Pax is the way to go and I always have it on hand.  MiraLAX® works with your own body’s water to soften and give you relief and doesn’t cause harsh side effects.  Always use it as directed. The thing I love most about MiraLAX® Mix-In Pax is how easy it is to conceal because, let’s be honest, this isn’t really an issue we talk about to strangers, right?

I always bring a scarf with me on the plane and even when sitting in the airports, I actually get cold!  I'm never one to say that I'm cold but for some reason, planes will do it to me.  It's so much easier to carry and pack a scarf rather than a big sweatshirt.  I knew travelling to Texas that it would be burning up once we arrived so I'm glad I didn't wear a sweatshirt anyway!

For some reason when I travel on airplanes, maybe because of the air pressure change, my eyes end up so dry!  I always carry some soothing eye drops with me.

When I fly I like to listen to music or watch a movie so I had to invest in some quality earphones.  I wasn't about to sit on the plane hearing people chattering and all the plane noises when I'm trying to watch my shows!

I don't think I need to tell you why we ALL should be bringing cell phone chargers with us!  I can't tell you how happy I was once we finally exited our four hour delayed plane ride and I had 3% charge.

My reusable water bottle has served me well.  I've even noticed that on the flights you can ask the attendants to fill your water bottle and they will!

I used to carry on a handbag as a small carry-on but when I travel alone I can get away with not needing a checked bag.  I have found that having a backpack is so so easy and holds everything I need it to!

Snacks-I mean, come on.  I WISH airlines would allow unopened snacks from home, but I get it.  I try to load up on low-sodium snacks for my flights since all the airline snacks are packed full of sodium!

I don’t know about you but I can guarantee that I’ll be hitting up Target to pick up whatever I need for my trip, like, duh!  Target is Mom heaven and my go-to spot!  I love that I can always find what I’m looking for and I’m in and out.
